本学期国际部数学组在各个年级开展了与教材内容相关的数学学科活动。低年级注重传统的数学文化的传承,中高年级注重设计与实践,促进与拓展了学生对知识的理解与感悟,激发了学生学习的兴趣。
This semester, the mathematics group of SESID has carried out activities related to the content of the textbooks for each grade. The lower grades focused on the inheritance of traditional mathematics culture, while the middle and upper grades paid more attention to design and practice, which promoted and expanded students' understanding and perception of knowledge, and stimulated students' interest in learning.
Grade 1
七巧板是启发学生智力的良好伙伴。至今英国剑桥大学的图书馆里还珍藏着一部《七巧新谱》。在活动中,同学们有的在Ipad上、有的用七巧板拼搭、创意图案,把实物与形态之间的桥梁连接了起来,让趣味与数学同行。
Tangram is a good partner to inspire students' intelligence. Till now, the Chinese book "A New Book of Tangram" is still stored in the library of the Cambridge University. In the activities, some of the students used an app to play tangram; some used tangram puzzles to build and create creative patterns to connect the bridge between the physical object and the form, so that fun and mathematics could go together.
Grade 2
乘法口诀是我国古代特有的一种计数方式。此次活动中不仅锻炼了学生的动手能力,同时也将这一重要知识点进行自我巩固与总结。在制作的过程中,学生们积极拓展课外相关知识,将数学学科与生活紧密相连。
The Chinese multiplication table is a unique invention in ancient China. This activity not only exercised the students' practical ability, but also consolidated and summarized this important knowledge. During the production process, the students actively expanded their extracurricular knowledge and closely connected the subject of mathematics with life.
Grade 3
学生对重量单元的学习,比较抽象和模糊。为了加深学生的理解,老师设计了在生活中体验和制作小报的活动。同学们有的来到超市查看、掂量物品的重量、有的在家里用电子秤称量各种物品,和重量单位“克”还有“千克”有一个亲密接触了,这样的实践活动让学生们意犹未尽,纷纷拍下来照片和视频,在和组内同学分享交流中完成了有意义的小报。
Students' learning of weight units is more abstract and vague. To deepen students' understanding, teachers have designed activities to experience and make tabloids in life. Some of the students came to the supermarket to check and measure the weight of the items; some used electronic scales to weigh various items at home, and had a close contact with the weight units "G" and "KG". The students took photos and videos one by one, and completed meaningful tabloids in the sharing and communication with the classmates in the group.
Grade 4
四年级的学科活动是请学生收集一周的天气情况,制作复式折线统计图。
在这次活动中,学生们经历复式折线统计图数据收集、判断、比较、分析的过程,并能做出合理推测,发展了学生的数据分析意识,提高学生的数据分析能力。学生们体会到统计来源于生活,又服务于生活,从而学习用数学的眼光观察世界,用数学的思维分析世界。
The fourth grade subject activity was to ask students to collect a week's weather and make a double-entry line graph. In this activity, the students went through the process of data collection, judgment, comparison and analysis of double-line graphs, and were able to make reasonable guesses, which developed students' data analysis awareness and improved their data analysis ability. Students realized that statistics come from life and serve life, so they learned to observe the world with mathematical eyes and analyze the world with mathematical thinking.
Grade 5
五年级的数学学科活动请同学们设计一个既有创意又环保节约的包装方案,并制作出来。
学生们测量了长方体礼盒的长、宽、高,在彩纸上按自己的构思画出展开图,再预留出所需粘贴的部分......,在观察、操作、体验的过程中培养分析、比较、抽象概括能力,发展学生的空间观念和空间想象力;在合作交流的过程中,培养学生团结合作的精神、创新意识和设计能力,增强学生的学习兴趣和信心。
In the fifth grade mathematics activity, students were invited to design and produce a creative and environmentally-saving packaging plan. The students measured the length, width, and height of the cuboid gift box, and drew the unfolded diagram on the colored paper according to their own ideas, and then reserved the part to be pasted. In the process of observation, operation, and experience the students gained the ability of analysis, comparison, abstraction and generalization, and develop students' spatial concepts and spatial imagination; in the process of cooperation and communication, cultivate students' spirit of unity and cooperation, innovative consciousness and design ability, and enhance students' interest and confidence in learning.
本次学科活动,学生们在实践中自主、自悟、自得,从而将书本知识内化为自己的知识和技能,促进了学生的发展。
In this subject activity, students became independent, self-aware, and contented in practice, thereby internalizing book knowledge into their own knowledge and skills, which promoted the development of students.
