The Chinese national report on overseas study for 2021 shows that 91 percent of the students slated for overseas study insist on their plans against the backdrop of the pandemic. As an international school with 26 years of history and development, BRS will continue to offer students unparalleled resources and platforms for personal development, striving to be a well-recognized pathway for students bound for overseas high-quality education.

We invited several of our soon-to-be graduates and alumni to share their stories and experiences of studying and living at BRS. This allowed our prospective families to gain more insight into BRS. Because our students are walking testimonials to BRS’s student-centered approach to learning, families will enjoy the opportunity to share in our students’ real-life experiences at BRS from a student’s perspective.

·  Class of 2022 Student Ma-- Washington University in St. Louis

BRS Grade 12 student Ma received his Early Offer to study Biology at the Washington University in St. Louis. Since he joined BRS in Grade 9, his passion for biology began to take flight, thanks in part to the diverse opportunities of the development the school provided. The school regularly provides our students with a chance to discuss with the best minds in science, diplomacy and 2010 Noble Prize Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselow, and to encourage students to participate in various activities. Inspired by UN’s sustainable development program recommended by the school, student Ma and his peers launched the student sustainable development club on campus, and have been dedicated to discovering solutions for disposal of medical waste. These opportunities not only helped him earn the offer from his dream university, but also greatly developed his biological mindset and broadened his perspectives.

·  Class of 2022 Student Li--Berklee College of Music

Student Li was impressed with the diversities of BRS campus culture when she joined the BRS community in Grade 9. “The BRS community constitutes of students from different parts of China and abroad. ·  Class of 2022 student Liu--Rhode Island School of Design

Student Liu transferred to BRS in 2019 when she was in Grade 9, because she knew that the Study-abroad Art Program has been in effect for many years at BRS, and BRS students are grouped according to individual interest and aptitude. It is BRS that introduced me to these explorations and offered me a broader platform of development.”

·  Class of 2020 student Yu--Grinnell College

Student Yu transferred from a public school to BRS, with worries that he would have little chance for university acceptance because of his weakness in English. During his time here, he increased his TOEFL score from 67 to 108 following an effective study plan guided by his BRS teachers. In addition, he had the honour of communicating one-on-one with his idol 2010 Noble Prize Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselow here at BRS.

Thanks to this proactive support and outreach from BRS’s highly qualified and responsible teachers, she completed a challenging academic program with excellent results. She recalled that period as impressive!

In 2019 when he joined the BRS community, student Cao was touched by his BRS teachers who not merely cared about their studies, but more about the students’ holistic development. Her teachers constantly reached out to her, encouraging her to identify what interested her most. When recalling her experiences at BRS, Zheng said, “Every student at BRS is encouraged to communicate with their teachers, and that’s why our aptitudes are seen and unleashed. Subsequently, I was more and more relieved from pressure, and gradually accepted my unique persona.”

Student Xing realized his major leaps in life after graduating from BRS, achieving a bachelor’s degree in the Imperial College London, and PhD in Cambridge University. “I thought how BRS benefits me most was its high-quality resources when I was just graduating from BRS; however, now I think it’s the friendship with my peers and teachers at BRS that I cherish even more. Now, I am working on establishing the BRS alumni network, reconnecting BRS graduates who are now flourishing in every part of the world.”
