雨水已至，春暖花开，一切都欣欣向荣充满生机。兔年伊始，上海金山区世界外国语学校高中部与美国Eastside高中文化交流项目启动，为未来线下的交流做好铺垫。
我遇到了我的Buddy——前线报道1
2月12日早上9点，我们进行了与美国Eastside高中的第一次线上交流活动，虽然大家隔着屏幕，但交流的氛围却并没有收到影响。
活动中，美方的老师把每个同学分成到不同的讨论小组，在各自的小型“云端会议室”开展进一步的交流。我和我的buddy Juan Carlos在不断深入的了解中，很快找到了我们共同的爱好，并且我们也交流了每天的作息时间。Juan也对我们中国学生早上六点起床的要求感到震惊。虽然第一次的交流只有短短的四十几分钟，但我和我的小伙伴们都度过了一段难忘的时光，并且也开始憧憬下一次的见面。
当加州落日遇到上海的日出——前线报道2
当我的buddy将摄像头调至前置，向我们自然从容朋友般亲切地展示加州梦境般的落日余晖，而我则在地球的另一端抬头望着此刻窗外千翻云朵背后藏匿着刚初升的太阳时，我恍然意识到了文化交流的意义！打破文化的壁垒 未曾见面的我们 也可以碰撞出绚烂且多彩的火花！
当东方遇到西方——前线报道3
刚进会议室，我也十分的忐忑紧张，但看到美方老师和同学脸上都洋溢着热情的笑容和我打着招呼，心情便也逐渐放松下来。待人到齐后，先由我们来向美方同学介绍自己精彩的寒假生活及春节习俗，让他们对我们的民俗文化有所了解。有的同学在寒假放了烟花，过元宵吃汤圆：有的同学则选择外出旅游，感受春节不一样的风俗文化。

Meeting my Chinese buddies was very nice. It was really fun being able to bond with them. My group, Betsabeth and Jordan enjoyed this a lot. They’d ask questions, one was what life is like here in the states and what we do for fun. We also asked questions as well and was just fillling each other in on what life is like for us especially living in a different county/environment. They were very interesting. Haimon shared out his love for music and if we ever heard of the band, Nirvana. I was enjoying his part because how I can relate to loving music and just being able to share about it was really nice. I loved learning about them and hearing about their hobbies. My favorite part was how they’d laugh at us. I like making people laugh and it was fun because I was able to share my personality and just make them feel comfortable. They were a little shy but that’s why I was making them laugh and just breaking the silence. We finished the meeting off by exchanging our tik tok account which was really cool. Overall, the meeting went very well and was such a cool experience.
